So I’m going to buy some domain space from the fine folks at FlamesBurn to host this site. It’ll allow me to play with PHP and host “Mp3s of the Week” for Punknews and do whatever else. Now all I need is a domain name. The choosing of which is turning out to be quite an ordeal. I figure if I get an interesting word or phrase for the domain name I can use it later on to name my company. What that company does… well nothing so far. I figure oneday I’ll cross the line between music fan and reporter and music industry insider and will likely be part of a record label or (at the very least) a new media company. The “new media company” concept may prove to be a bit more useful to me who is taking computer science.

Aubin Paul has already laid claim to the greatest word in creation: “outlier” (he spells it differently but either way it’s a great word). I can’t seem to pull a neat word out of my schooling, so obviously I turned to Clash lyrics. Leading candidate right now is “twofiftynine” (2:59… being what Strummer considered the length of the perfect rock song. Check the lyrics to “Hitsville U.K.” if you don’t believe me).

However I’ve got other things kicking around in my head that may win over that. We’ll see. I think the winning phrase must sound good with the suffixes “New Media” “Records / Recording Company” after them.
