“There’s no stoppin’ the cretins from hoppin’”
We just got 1 inch buttons made for Punknews. It strikes me as weird to have them, I’m not used to seeing us as something physical that you can touch. It feels strangely legitimate. They look great though.
It’s a sunny Saturday afternoon and I just got back from a late afternoon bike ride down to the river (and ending at the used CD store, of course). So right now I’m sitting back in my chair, pleasantly exhausted and enjoying the breeze blowing in the window. The Ramone’s ‘Rocket To Russia’ is providing the soundtrack as well. After a week of dealing with high strung and confused corporate types, this feels perfect.
I had an evaluation of my progress at my tech-company job with someone from my university’s co-op department. They asked what I wanted to do ‘when I was done.’ I mentioned that while I liked my job, I’d be inclined to do something entrepreneurial and hopefully dealing with new media / music. The coordinator was surprised with that answer. He said the other students, the ones who were actually minoring in business, said they’d love to work for a big company like this as a career. I, with no business training at all and no desire to have any, is the ONLY one who mentioned the word ‘entrepreneur.’
So that’s my quest now. To go into business for myself wilfully ignorant of all the bullshit that people learn in business classes. Sounds a lot like an independent punk label eh?
Spinning:
Ramones ‘ Rocket To Russia
Broken Social Scene ‘ You Forgot It In People
Motion City Soundtrack ‘ I Am The Movie

Is this layout design temporary? It looks good and all, but obviously it would be cool for you to have something more independent of Aubin’s world.

Wow… someone actually reads this shit…
It’s temporary, atleast the blog-part is. Aubin and I are both using a standard Movable Type template, so neither of us has really done much to change it yet.
