If I was younger I’d be calling this Grade 16
Last night we hung out in an Irish pub with a slightly older crowd, drinking Guinness and listening to a solo acoustic guitarist belt out some old standards. Tonight we’re likely going to end up at some horrible dance club where fake people drink coolers and listen to weak music. I wouldn’t be caught dead in the second place if it were not for a friend’s birthday. Trust that I’ll try extra hard to dress “punk” and look out of place.
I’m back in Guelph after the end of my work term and a brief sojourn back to Niagara. The third year of university commences Monday. I have three classes of computer science lined up along with two of sociology. I’m going to start my attempt to bleed some of the social awareness into the typically business oriented CS classes. I was told last semester that my pairing of major / minor were quite against the grain. I was expected to take computer science and “business” or something boring and predicable like that.
As I’m currently thinking without any assignment deadlines suffocating me, I’m feeling quite optimistic about this year. I’m confident in my abilities at this point, so my level of success now depends entirely on my mindset.
Thankfully, that mindset is: “bring it on you bastards”
