In The Red’s ever shifting release schedule now has the Ponys‘ new LP Celebration Castle slated for “late May,” so it may be some time yet before everyone can get a copy (and of course everyone should). The lead track from the record recently appeared via the band’s website, so you can get a taste of what they crafted with Steve Albini with the link below. The band just finished a tour supporting white hot hypesters Bloc Party, and are headed out with Gris Gris and Plasic Crimewave Sound next month, so check `em out.

So apparently Jered from the Ponys, Matt from the Baseball Furies and a chap named Alex White just released a 7″ through Cass as the Hot Machines. It’s limited so I’m tempted to grab it based on pedigree alone, but has anyone heard this thing yet? I’m curious to see if it’s worth dealing with the inevitable pain of cross-border shipping.
