Newman, the ever amazing vocals of Neko Case and an all around brilliant collection of Vancouver area artists combine once again to form the best damn indie pop band on the planet. That this group has carried on and grown since Mass Romantic continues to blow me away. I’m sure many had assumed that like most “supergroups” the New Pornographers wouldn’t have stuck together for so long, let alone be on the cusp of releasing their third full length with more-or-less the same lineup as their first. Twin Cinema hits on August 23rd. That’s a mere 38,880 hours from now, if you were wondering.
