Everything I’ve ever heard from the FemBots has been wonderfully smart and classy. They take the whole post-Neil Young Canadian indie-folk thing and modernize it without loosing that rustic appeal. Anyone who saw the band’s principles touring as part of the expanded-Weakerthans this past year hopefully arrived early to catch their own set, because it definitely made me a fan. The band is set to release The City tomorrow via Paper Bag, following up 2003’s Small Town Murder Scene. I can’t wait.
