The Arcade Fire’s weird and wonderful promotional site for their upcoming Neon Bible has posted a video of the band performing a cover of the Clash’s “Guns of Brixton.” Head to neonbible.com/yope.html and click “6. Guns” to check it out. The grainy monochrome video and the perspective of the camera really add to it.

Now apparently the The Good, The Bad & The Queen have been performing the song as well (which they’re uniquely suited to do). I certainly won’t complain if they decide to do it in Toronto next month.

If this is the year of “Guns of Brixton” that logically makes 2008 the year of “Wrong ‘Em Boyo,” so get your two-tone suit pressed.
